Champagne Veuve Clicquot
“Édition 250éme Anniversaire” Vintage Jéroboam 2002
Maison Veuve Clicquot celebrated its 250th anniversary in 2022, and with Chef de Caves Didier Mariotti, it has released a limited edition Vintage 2002 for this important anniversary. This is the 63rd Vintage since 1810, the year in which Madame Clicquot created the first Champagne from a single harvest with her visionary and innovative spirit.
The 2002 vintage was exceptionally dry and sunny and extraordinarily long-lived. The result was a perfect combination of the full, generous flavours of Pinot Noir grapes and the bold, fresh taste of Chardonnay. Grapes comes exclusively from Premier and Grand Cru classified vineyards.
The aromatic richness of this Champagne, linked to the deep and prolonged ageing on its lees (over 16 years), is expressed in the glass with sweet and buttery aromas, between honey and brioche bread, with citrus nuances and a peppery softness.
The recent disgorging (2019), and the large format, have perfectly preserved the youth of this extraordinary vintage.
Produced in a limited edition only in Magnum and Jéroboam format.
