R de Ruinart Millésime 2015

The Champagne R de Ruinart Millésime 2015 is the fruit of a vintage marked by extreme drought during the wine production cycle. Despite the fact that the harvest began in cool, dry weather, it ended in rain: weather conditions that resulted in a dynamic and structured wine.

The result is a blend of 44% Pinot Noir, 44% Chardonnay and 12% Meunier grapes, mostly from the Grand and Premier Cru of the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims.

Champagne R de Ruinart Millésime 2015 presents itself with a pale golden colour with silver and green reflections. The nose reveals fruity aromas with notes of crisp pear and fig leaves, followed by spicy notes, including fennel, cardamom and liquorice sticks with hints of dried lime and green tea tie all the aromas together. On the palate, the beginning is fresh. The wine then develops into a broad, unctuous palate with notes of fresh white fruits. The finish is lively and elegant, with a slight bitterness and saline notes.
