Champagne Pierre Péters
Cuvée de Réserve
The Champagne Cuvée de Réserve by Pierre Peters is a Blanc de Blancs made of 100% Chardonnay grapes harvested from Grand Cru classified vineyards only. This Champagne Blanc de Blancs has an intrinsic complexity on the palate due to the addition of at least 40% “réserve perpetuelle” that began in 1988 and is enhanced by more than 20 different vintages.
The Champagne Cuvée de Réserve by Pierre Peters is clear to the eye, pale gold in colour with green notes typical of the Chardonnay grape variety. The mousse is fine and regular, with a fine ribbon of bubbles. To the nose its first approach is floral and fruity, then notes of almond and fresh bread are revealed and in the end touches of citrus and green apple emerge, leaving a graceful impression of softness and freshness. The first impression on the palate is frank, associating both finesse and softness, dominated by white-flowered fruits (lemon and pear) and floral notes (acacia). The finish is persistent, with pure citrus aromas and a touch of saltiness that confirms the fact that most of the grapes come from the large village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger; its balance comes from the equally prestigious Grand Cru villages of Oger, Cramant and Avize.
