Champagne Perrier-Jouët
Belle Èpoque Edition Automne 2011
Autumn is a season of strong contrasts, characterised by fleeting flashes, an enveloping mildness and irresistible delights. This is the reason why Hervé Deschamps, Perrier-Jouët’s Chef de Cave, dedicated this ephemeral cuvée to this season: Belle Epoque Edition Automne.
With all the elegance of Perrier-Jouët style, Hervé Deschamps has created the ideal blend, in which the softness and strength of autumn blossom in a deep and unforgettable shade of pure pink. Chardonnay (45%) – the Maison‘s iconic variety from the Grand Cru vineyards of Cramant, Avize and Le Mesnil – gives an unmistakable note of delicate floral freshness. A touch of Meunier (5%) from Dizy brings sensual notes of fascinating vitality and, finally, the energy of Pinot Noir (50%) – grown around the villages of Mailly, Aÿ, Verzy and Rilly la Montagne – adds an opulent shade to this smooth symmetry. Finally, this cuvée millésime draws its unusual and attractive reflections from 15% “vin rouge”.
