Champagne Laherte Frères
Meslier & Pinot
The Champagne Meslier & Pinot by Laherte Fréres is made from 50% Petit Meslier – from young vines planted in 2013 – and 50% Pinot Noir from a low-yield plot located in the village of Chavot. Since its planting in 2003 in the plot named Les 7, Aurelien Laherte has developed a strong belief in the potential of Petit Meslier, a rare ‘Cépages Oubliés‘ vine authorised in the Champagne region. This ‘forgotten’ vine was particularly close to Maison Laherte‘s heart and, because of its strong personality and to preserve the varietal diversity of the Champagne region, they decided to replant it around the village of Chavot, Côteaux sud d’Epernay.
Harvest 2019 with traditional vinification and fermentation in fût de chêne, followed by ageing on its lees for at least 30 months and no dosage (0 g/l – making it a Brut Nature).
Unique and limited edition of only 669 bottles.
