Krug Vintage Champagne represents today the two-dimensional expression of Krug: three grapes from a single vintage of rare excellence. Not a better or worse Krug, but different, balanced and complete similar to its predecessors. This Champagne is the perfect and irrevocable interpretation that Krug gives of an excellent and unrepeatable vintage and also reveals a unique personality that will then be made concrete through the marketing of a rare and unique product.

The result is a Champagne capable of harmonizing the specific character of a single vintage with the intense style inspired by the Maison Krug.

A combination of generosity, charm, roundness and elegance for Krug Vintage 2006 – renamed “Capricious Generosity” by the Maison, it is an excellent classic Champagne, both generous and intense. The 2006 vintage is remembered for the very hot weather in the Champagne region, with a capricious alternation of periods of drought and intense rainfall, with characteristics similar to the 1989 and 2002 vintages. Krug Vintage 2006 is a dialogue between the wide aromatic palette of Chardonnay (35%) and the promising structure of Pinot Noir (48%) combined with the elegance and balance of Meunier (17%). The balance and refinement of Krug Vintage 2006 is the result of more than 12 years in the Maison‘s cellars, during which it developed the harmony, generosity and charm that distinguishes it.

As with every Champagne from the Maison, Krug Vintage 2006 improves over time.
