Collection 1995

The Champagne Krug Collection 1995 represents the second life of a precious Vintage. That years the perfect conditions of richness and delicacy met. Some 25 years of ageing for this Champagne, which beautifully reflects the serenity and complexity of the year 1995 now with intensity and depth. At the time of its creation, Remi Krug said it reminded him of the harmony and balance of Krug 1969 and Krug 1979, while remaining true to itself and its origin story.

Given the difficult weather circumstances of the decade, Krug Collection 1995 is only the second Krug Collection of the 1990s, which makes it even more special.

After four meteorologically difficult harvests, 1995 was a well-received year in the Champagne region. The season began with a mild, rainy winter with two short frosts in January and March, followed by a warm, sunny spring with a few frosts in April. In the ripening season, nature provided a long period of warm weather from the end of June until harvest time, resulting in very fresh, expressive fruit with character.
