Champagne Erick Schreiber
Grande Cuvée
Champagne Grande Cuvée by Erick Schreiber is the result of the blending in equal parts of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc and a part of Pinot Noir coming from proprietary vineyards grown in Courteron, Bar-sur-Seine, in the Côte des Bar.
Obtained from grapes of a single vintage, it vinifies for about 70% in barrique and the second fermentation is done with the use of the cork instead of the classic crown; dosage within the limits of Brut. The creation of Champagne Grande Cuvée dates back to 1995 and is the result of the blending of different grape varieties: the elegance and finesse of Chardonnay, the freshness of Pinot Blanc and the power and the amplitude of Pinot Noir.
Domaine Erick Schreiber respects the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture, all of its Champagnes are in fact certified for organic and biodynamic viticulture.
Champagne of great complexity and substance, notes of cooked fruit, toasted bread, and hints of undergrowth and truffles stand out on the nose; in the mouth it’s round, with good persistence and finesse. Pleasant as an aperitif and dishes based on white meats, fish, truffles, cooked pasta cheeses. This cuvée will express its full potential with aging, developing a new aromatic expression.
