Champagne De Venoge
Louis XV Rosé Millésime 2012
In 1728, Louis XV sanctioned the birth of Champagne with a law that finally allowed bottles to be transported, which had previously been banned as it was considered very dangerous due to the fragility of the glass. Bottling the wine meant that the bubbles obtained could only be preserved for Champagne wines, marking the birth of Champagne as we know it today. The Cuvée Louis XV by Maison De Venoge is therefore dedicated to the great French monarch and a copy of the royal edict is printed inside the box.
The Champagne Louis XV Rosé Millésime 2012 is the most prestigious Rosé Cuvée by Maison De Venoge. It is the result of a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, made exclusively from grapes grown in Grand Cru villages. Harvest 2012 and ageing on its own yeasts for 8 years with a low final dosage of 5 g/l – making it an Brut.
The Cuvée Louis XV Rosé Millésime 2012 is a decidedly elegant and sophisticated Champagne, revealing powerful aromas with exotic red fruit flavours underlined by a low dosage. It is perfectly served as an aperitif and on sophisticated shellfish dishes.
