Champagne De Venoge
Louis d’Or 1995
In 1728, Louis XV sanctioned the birth of Champagne with a law that finally allowed bottles to be transported, which had previously been banned as it was considered very dangerous due to the fragility of the glass. Bottling the wine meant that the bubbles obtained could only be preserved for Champagne wines, marking the birth of Champagne as we know it today. The Cuvée Louis XV by Maison De Venoge is therefore dedicated to the great French monarch and a copy of the royal edict is printed inside the box.
The Champagne Louis XV Millésime 2012is the most prestigious Cuvée of Maison De Venoge. It is the result of an equal blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, made exclusively from grapes grown in villages classified as Grand Cru: Verzenay and Bouzy for Pinot Noir and Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger for Chardonnay. Harvest 2012 and ageing on its own yeasts for 7 years with a final dosage of 6 g/l – making it a Brut.
