Champagne De Venoge
Cordon Bleu Blanc de Noirs
The Champagne Cordon Bleu Blanc de Noirs by Maison De Venoge is a Cuvée obtained from the blending of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Meunier grapes selected from particularly suitable crus. Easily identifiable throughout the world by the blue ribbon (Cordon Bleu) that originally represented the river La Venoge that ran through the village of the same name from which the founder of the Maison came, tt was later taken as the emblem of the Order of the Holy Spirit, the most famous knightly order of the French monarchy: ‘Noblesse Oblige’. The wine rests on its lees for at least 4 years and has a final dosage of 8 g/l – making it a Brut.
Cordon Bleu Blanc de Noirs is a powerful, harmonious and complex Champagne. To the nose it reveals hints of yellow-fleshed fruit, blackcurrants and toasted notes. On the palate it is decidedly broad, forthright and of great length.
