La Collection Crayères Charlie Magnum 1982

The Collection Crayères Editon 2022 by Charles Heidsieck includes exclusive bottles, offered in limited quantities, that come from the Private Collection of the Maison. The 2022 edition offers a series of vintage Champagnes,  aged on their yeasts for many years in the Maison‘s chalk cellars to promote the harmonious development of aromas and taste. These Champagnes are the brilliant demonstration of Charles Heidsieck‘s know-how, since only a skilful assembly and processing of exceptional quality can pass the test of time.

The results of the 1982 harvest are considered amongst the most exceptional ever witnessed in the history of Champagne. The grapes grew under steady weather conditions. The results were irreproachable and the harvest abundant! The grapes, all varieties included, were in excellent condition and stood out for their finesse, equilibrium and grandeur, hallmarks of a great year in Champagne.

The Collection Crayères Charlie 1982 has an intense antique gold tone, sparkling and silky. As in all ‘Charlie’ cuvées, freshness and acidity are still very much present. The aromas evoke rich images of dried flowers, barley syrup, dried apricot, hazelnut with a hint of peach and, in the finish, coffee. One thus approaches the style of an old Sauternes.

The Collection Crayères Charlie 1982 Magnum is a very limited edition available in an individual wooden case (750 pieces in Magnum format) and represents a perfect opportunity to buy and enjoy these ‘rare’ champagnes aged in their best condition.
