Le Clos de Bouzy Magnum 2009

The Champagne Brut Le Clos de Bouzy 2009 by André Clouet is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested from the old vines of the family’s small clos (enclosed plot) of only 0.35 hectares in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy in the Montagne de Reims. This Champagne is the last Millésime of Jean-Francois Clouet‘s will and produced only in Magnum format and in a limited edition of only 1,000 bottles. The ageing of the Cuvées takes place in the Sauternes barriques of the Chateau Doisy Daene, the remuage is manual while the dosed sugars added are within the limits of Brut.

Notes of white fruits to the nose, evolving into brioche, almond and hazelnut. In the mouth it is subtle but powerful, with a creamy bubble and a splendid mineral finish of great length. Le Clos 2009 is suitable for important occasions, refined dinners and sophisticated preparations. Excellent in combination with foie gras.
