The Champagne La vigne à Vovone by A. Lamblot is the fruit of 100% Pinot Noir harvested from a single plot – lieu-dit Le Clos – planted in 1984 on sandy and clay-limestone soil near Vrigny a village in the Montagne de Reims. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, malolactic fermentation is not required and the wine spends over 2 years on its own yeasts before manual remuage and disgorging take place, entirely à la volée. No final dosage – making it a Brut Nature – for this ample and intense “plot” Champagne Blanc de Noirs. Limited production of only 170 bottles.
